File Extension: .sbv

SBV files are plain text files with the subtitle data written in this format:

[start time as HH:MM:SS.mmm],[end time as HH:MM:SS.mmm]
[subtitle text]

For example:

We set sail on this new sea because
there is new knowledge to be gained

and new rights to be won, and they must
be won and used for the progress of all people.

For space science, like nuclear
science and all technology

In SBV files, time values are represented in milliseconds, not frames. They represent video run time, not camera SMPTE timecode.

HH:MM:SS.mmm corresponds to the digits for hours, minutes, seconds, and milliseconds, respectively.
